Demà celebrem els 80 anys del meu avi i cercant algun poema dedicat als avis, m'he topat amb una web ben interessant! no entenc molt bé com hi he arribat, però bé, coses de google ^__^

No es llegeix gaire bé però dóna la opció de crear un estel fugaç, dedicar una estrella, buscar l'estel o l'estrella que has creat mitjançant un codi i els idiomes per veure la web. Ah! i quan selecciones les estrelles, veus les dedicatòries d'altres persones, així que has d'anar buscant fins que en trobes una de lliure.

Em fa força gràcia així que ara mateix vaig a dedicar-ne una!!!!

Admeto que sóc una fan de Cuarto Milenio ^__^ i no puc evitar de compartir aquest article que han publicat al seu Facebook sobre com es va dur a terme la gravació d'aquest vídeo tant espectacular del SOL.

Penso que pot ésser interessant per a mestres que estiguin treballant el Sistema Solar o algun tema relacionat, o simplement, per a fans de l'espai exterior com jo.

Las imágenes de la sonda SDO muestran la llamarada más poderosa, el paso de Venus por delante del disco solar y dos eclipses de Luna
El Observatorio de Dinámica Solar (Solar Dynamics Observatory, SDO) fue lanzado por la NASA en febrero de 2010 en una «misión sin precedentes» para proporcionar a los científicos los datos más extraordinarios y desconocidos sobre el comportamiento del Sol. Meses después, en la primavera del mismo año, la sonda comenzó a obtener las primeras imágenes del astro que proporciona luz y calor a la Tierra. Desde entonces, ha realizado una «cobertura» prácticamente ininterrumpida de la evolución del Sol hacia su máximo solar, el pico de actividad que alcanza en su ciclo regular de once años. Esa observación permanente durante tres años ha sido recopilada por el centro de vuelos espaciales Goddard de la NASA en un fantástico vídeo de tan solo tres minutos, a un ritmo de dos imágenes por día (puedes verlo sobre estas líneas). Cada imagen es mostrada por dos fotogramas a una velocidad de 29.97 frames por segundo

El SDO captura una foto del Sol cada 12 segundos en 10 longitudes de onda diferentes, algo impresionante. Las imágenes que se muestran aquí se basan en una longitud de onda de 171 Angstroms, en el rango ultravioleta extremo, y muestra el material solar a alrededor de 600.000 Kelvin. En esta longitud de onda es fácil ver la rotación de 25 días del Sol, así como la forma en la que la actividad solar ha aumentado en tres años, explican desde el Goddard.

En el vídeo se aprecia sutilmente como el Sol aumenta y disminuye de tamaño aparente. Esto es debido a que la distancia entre la nave espacial y el Sol varía con el tiempo. La imagen es, sin embargo, muy estable a pesar del hecho de que el SDO orbita la Tierra a 6.876 millas por hora y la Tierra gira alrededor del Sol a 67.062 millas por hora.

Dicha estabilidad es crucial para los científicos, que utilizan el observatorio para aprender más acerca de nuestra estrella más cercana, como por ejemplo la forma en la que se producen las erupciones solares y las eyecciones de masa coronal, y cómo estas puede ir dirigidas a la Tierra y dañar los satélites en el espacio. El objetivo es ser capaces de mejorar nuestra capacidad para predecir el clima espacial.

Para que no te pierdas los eventos más destacados, la NASA te dice en qué momento del vídeo ocurren. Hay que estar muy atentos, porque suceden muy rápido:

Good afternoon!

Cercant cançons per als meus alumnes, m'he creuat amb un parells de vídeos que m'han fet gràcia.
Vaig treballar el Sistema Solar com a tutora de P4 durant tres anys però no com a especialista d'anglès, i bé, per si algun dia em calgués, aquí deixo aquestes cançonetes tant dolces que parlen sobre aquest tema i en anglès!
